'KIPIKA’ PRIMARY SCHOOL PROJECT STEALS THE SHOW

Mbinga.  Mbinga Town Council’s Finance and Education Committees on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, paid a visit to five projects worth Sh1.1 billion, with the Matengo Primary School, alias Kipika, stealing the show.  

With their faces being covered with broad smiles, the committees’ members satisfyingly poured praises on the Sh331.6 million- Kipika Primary School Project, saying it is indeed appealing in the eyes of everyone.

It could not help any of the committees’ members, but to show a dumfounded look on their faces as their eyes widened and their mouths fell slack, thanks to the beauty of the school which was  on January 8, 2024 officially opened by Mbinga District Commissioner Hon. Aziza Mangosongo. 

In other words, everyone is now looking the Matarawe Ward-based Kipika Primary School Project, from disdain to surprise and from surprise to awe.

However, being taken aback by the attractiveness of the Kipika Project which consists of nine classrooms, Administration building and 16 toilet holes, does not mean other projects that committees’ members visited on Tuesday did not grab their attention.

Other projects that they visited and were satisfied with their implementation are the Sh560.6 million worth Dr. Philip Mpango Secondary School ‘Matarawe’ which was officially opened on January 8, 2024 and the Sh95 million Lusonga Secondary School teachers’ housing project.

The list of the projects also includes the Sh66.3 million Kiwanjani Primary School and Sh53.1 Tanga Primary School project.  

With his facial expression saying it all, Mateka Ward councillor Hon. Method Ndunguru said the Kipika Project is pretty close to perfect.

With his face full of pleading, Hon. Ndunguru asserted: “Kipika project should be a reference point amid the implementation of other projects. It is high time we borrowed a leaf from this project.”

Lusonga Ward councillor Hon. Magreth Ngongi seemed to have been reading from the same script.

 “This school is so attractive enough to attract parents to bring their children here,” she uttered satisfyingly.

Mbinga Town Council chairperson Hon. Kelvin Mapunda gave credit to the sixth phase regime under President Hon. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan for disbursing his council with money for development projects.

“We have every reason to pour praises on Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, for her much-needed support to Mbinga Town Council,” Hon. Mapunda, who doubles as Matarawe Ward Councillor, commended earnestly and with profuse gratitude.

His sentiments were echoed by Betherehemu Councillor Hon. Amanyisye Ngonepo, Luhuwiko Councillor Hon. David Mapunda, Mbambi Councillor Hon. Winfrid Komba, Kitanda Councillor Hon. Aureus Ngonyani and Mbangamao Councillor Adregot Mangililwe.
